For us, a leisurely breakfast on a Sunday morning is the only chance we really have to sit back and unwind.
After running family members to the airport this morning we decided to stop off on the way back to Kettering to eat breakfast at the Signal Station Brasserie at Mount Nelson.
This well known restaurant is now under the masterful management of Scott Allen.
Scott previously managed the restaurant at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and under his guidance it became a well run and popular eatery.
Under Scott’s management the Signal Station Brasserie is now a polished, poised and thoroughly enjoyable restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner dining options with possibly the best dining view in Tasmania!
After a cup of good coffee we both settled in to wade through the Mega Breakfast. This turned out to be the best cooked breakfast we have had in recent times.
Prices are good and the service was a bit slow, but the pace perfectly suited a leisurely Sunday morning brunch.
The spectacular view was obscured by cloud but this just added to the cosy feel and made us concentrate on the food and good conversation.
The friendly and attentive staff added to the experience and we can’t wait to return for dinner.
We rate this breakfast venue 9 out of 10.
